Dios es un Dios bueno. En la mayoría de grupos sociales, esta frase continúa acaparando las noticias. ¿Recuerda qué le dijo Jesús al endemoniado gadareno? Luego de que Él echó fuera a los demonios, en Marcos 5:19, leemos que Jesús le indicó que le contara a sus amigos las grandes maravillas que el Señor había hecho por él. Jesús se interesaba por la reputación de Dios. Él deseaba cambiarla. Adondequiera que Él se dirigía, les enseñaba a las personas que Dios no era lo que ellos creían, sino les aseguraba que era un Dios bueno. Y ése es el mismo mandamiento que Él nos encomendó cuando dejó la Tierra (Marcos 16:15). En Marcos 5:25-34 se nos relata la historia de una mujer con flujo de sangre que alineó su reputación a la de Jesús. Iba en contra de la ley de los judíos que una mujer en esa condición fuera vista en público. Sin embargo, ella corrió el riesgo de ser humillada públicamente, e incluso arrestada; ella luchó para abrirse paso entre la multitud, a fin de tocar el borde del manto de Jesús. ¿Por qué? Porque ella estaba más interesada en la reputación de Jesús que en la de ella misma. Sabía que no podía obtener su sanidad al quedarse en casa obedeciendo lo que la comunidad religiosa de su época dictaminaba. Para recibir su sanidad debía aferrarse a la reputación de Jesús -y renunciar a la de ella-. Desesperadamente anhelaba su sanidad y creía tanto en la bondad de Jesús que ella estaba dispuesta a arriesgarlo todo. Así debe actuar usted si desea que Dios obre milagros en su vida. Es necesario que confíe tanto en Su bondad que usted esté dispuesto a alinear todo. Escoja poner la reputación de Dios sobre la suya todo el tiempo. Si está siendo dominado por las mentiras que Satanás ha utilizado para manchar la reputación de Dios; permita que el mensaje del Señor, el cual proviene del cielo, lo liberte. Éste fue escrito hace 2,000 años en el monte Calvario, el cual afirma: « Dios es bueno », y fue firmado con la sangre de Jesús. 1 Samuel 10-11; 1 Corintios 3 El Señor hace grandes cosa por mí. Él tiene compasión y misericordia de mí (Marcos 5:19).

God is a good God. In most circles, that’s still shocking news. Do you remember what Jesus told the madman from Gadara after He cast out the demons that had possessed him? Mark 5:19 says Jesus told him to tell his friends the great things the Lord had done for him.

Jesus was concerned about God’s reputation. He wanted it corrected. Everywhere He went He taught people that God was not what they had thought He was. He taught them that God is a good God. And that’s the job He gave us when He left the earth (Mark 16:15).

Mark 5:25-34 tells of a woman with an issue of blood, who put her reputation on the line. It was against the Jewish Law for a woman with an issue of blood to be seen in public. But she risked public humiliation, even arrest, and fought her way through the crowd to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment.

Why? Because she was more interested in Jesus’ reputation than her own. She knew she couldn’t get healed by staying at home doing what the religious community of her day said she should do. To receive her healing, she had to hang on to Jesus’ reputation—and let go of hers. She wanted healing so desperately and believed in Jesus’ goodness so fully that she was willing to risk it all.

That’s how you have to be if you’re going to see God work miracles in your life. You have to become so confident about how good He is that you’ll dare to lay everything on the line. Choose His reputation over yours every single time.

If you’ve been dominated by the rumors Satan has used to smudge God’s reputation, let His message from heaven set you free. It was written 2,000 years ago on a hill called Calvary. It says, “God is good.” And it’s signed in blood, “Jesus.”
