¿Sabe usted qué es lo más importante en su vida? No es su lugar de trabajo, ni siquiera su familia; lo más indispensable es mantener su corazón lleno de la luz de la Palabra. Usted puede desarrollar una fe poderosa para cambiar las circunstancias en su vida. Puede vivir en victoria en lugar de derrota. Sin embargo, sólo lo logrará al dedicarle tiempo a la Palabra de manera constante. En Proverbios 4:20-23, se explica con detalle la clave para el éxito: «Hijo mío, está atento a mis palabras; inclina tu oído a mis razones. No se aparten de tus ojos; guárdalas en medio de tu corazón; porque son vida a los que las hallan, y medicina a todo su cuerpo. Sobre toda cosa guardada, guarda tu corazón; porque de él mana la vida». Si su corazón se encuentra lleno de la Palabra, puede obtener un buen empleo -¡el mejor!-. Puede orar por la unidad de su familia. Y la forma de depositar la Palabra en su corazón es a través de sus ojos y sus oídos. Ésa es la manera en que usted guarda la Palabra en medio de su corazón. Por ese motivo, es necesario que le dé el primer lugar en su vida. Ésta es la respuesta para todo. Al enfocar su atención en las Escrituras, todas las demás áreas en su vida serán exitosas. Observe que la Palabra le muestra cómo gozar de una vida victoriosa, incluso en un mundo de tinieblas. Cuando vive de acuerdo con lo establecido en la Biblia, ésta resplandece como una luz en su camino. El apóstol Pedro habla acerca de la luz de la Palabra. Él indica que le prestemos atención, así como lo haríamos con una lámpara que resplandece en un lugar oscuro. Enfóquese de continuo en la Palabra y podrá pelear la buena batalla de la fe, y vencerá; incluso cuando las circunstancias negativas lo rodeen. Mantenga su mirada puesta en la luz y ésta lo guiará. ¡Ésta lo llevará hacia la victoria! 1 Samuel 27-29; 1 Corintios 12-13 Enfoco mi atención en la Palabra. La guardo en medio de mi corazón, pues es vida y salud para mi cuerpo (Proverbios 4:20-22).

Do you know what the most important thing in your life is? It’s not where you work. It’s not even your family. The most important thing in your life is keeping your heart full of the light of God’s Word.

You can have faith strong enough to change circumstances in your life. You can live in victory instead of defeat. But you’ll only do it continually by spending time in God’s Word.

Proverbs 4:20-23 spells out this key to success in no uncertain terms: “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

If your heart is full of the Word, you can get a good job—the best job! You can pray your family into line. And the way to get the Word in your heart is through your ears and your eyes. That’s how you keep the Word in the midst of your heart. That’s why you put God’s Word first place in your life. It’s the answer to everything. When you give your attention to the Word of God, every other area in your life will be successful.

 You see, God’s Word shows you how to live victoriously, even in a dark world. When you walk according to the Word, it shines a light on your pathway.

The Apostle Peter talks about that Light of the Word. He says to pay close attention to it like you would a lamp shining in a dark place.

Continually focus your attention on the Word of God, and you can fight the good fight of faith and win even when negative circumstances surround you. Keep your eyes on the light, and you will have light. It will bring you through to victory!

« I attend to the Word of God. I keep it in the midst of my heart. It is life to me and health to all my flesh. »  (Proverbs 4:20-22)
